I    FIVE DAYS IN LIBYA

 

  • Day 01 : Tripoli

Arrival in Tripoli. Meet and assist and transfer to the hotel. after check-in at the hotel you begin your visit in Libya with a short tour of the city with its traditional Souk. Dinner and overnight in Tripoli.

              

  • Day 02 : Sabratha

After breakfast departure to Sabratha and a tour of the town. Sabratha was used as an Emporium, and trading post, by Phoenician merchants. Sabratha has one of the most magnificent and interesting Roman Theatres and one of the most splendid mosaics of the Byzantine period. During our sightseeing tour we will visit more highlights in Sabratha like the Mausoleum of Bes, the Basilica of Apoleius, continuing with Forum the centre of the social life, the Antonine Temple, the Basilica of Justinian, the Curia, the Baths, and the Temple of Isis. For dinner and overnight we return to Tripoli. Overnight stay in Hotel .     

            

                                      

  • Day 03 : Leptis Magna

                    After breakfast departure to Leptis Magna 

The native town of Emperor Septimius Severus experienced under his regency its prime time of prosperity. After Rom and Karthago Leptis Magna grew to be the third largest city of the entire Roman empire. Today it is one of the most impressive archeological excavation sites in Africa. Visit of the Triumphal Arch, the Baths of Hadrian, the Nymphaeum and the Street of Colonnades, the Severus Forum and the adjoining Basilica, and the Harbour facilities. In the afternoon you will visit the museum and the amphitheatre. return to Tripoli for dinner and overnight stay.

                                  

         

 

  • Day 04 : Tripoli

Today is dedicated to Tripoli. In the capital city of Libya Arabic tradition blends in with western influences. We stroll through narrow alleys and through the Souk. The interesting exhibits in the national museum which is situated in a defiant fortification show the variable history of the country. We visit the arch of triumph which was founded during the Roman period in honour of Marc Aurel. The cultural imprint during the Italian settlement gives Tripoli a charming flair. Dinner and overnight in Tripoli  

 

         

  • Day 05 : Tripoli

Transfer to the airport

 

                       Important Note:      

                                         On Mondays museums are open 08.30 a.m. to 02.00 p.m.

                                         only,. Friday is like Sunday in Europe, all Souks are closed
                                         Please calculate with 4 weeks time for visa processing.
